Applications will be accepted from October 3 to November 14, 2024; we will not accept any further applications after 5:00 pm on November 14.


Every December, the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen appoints approximately 20-30 people from the community to fill positions on the Town’s Boards and Commissions. Serving on a Town Board or Commission is a great way to get involved in Town government and play a vital role in shaping the goals and direction of the Town. 

Applications are accepted annually in October through November. To learn more about our Town Boards and Commissions including vacancies, time commitments, and purpose, see the chart below.

Design Review Commission  ✓  1 Year Second Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM at Town Hall Ensure that proposed structures conform to proper design standards & the general character of the area Jaime Groce
Environmental Commission  ✓  1 Year Second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Public Services Complex Advise the BMA and administration on environmental issues and provide the residents with opportunities to improve the   quality of their environment Josh Russell
Heritage Commission  ✓  Up to 5 Years Bi-monthly on the second Wednesday at the Morton Museum Serves as the Town's authority on matters regarding Town history and will conduct research about the history of the Town   & it's people Kate Renner
Historic District Commission  ✓  Up to 5 Years Fourth Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM at Town Hall Preserve historic and/or architectural value of the district as well as enhance the Town's historic attractions to tourists Jaime Groce
Industrial Development Board  ✓ Up to 6 Years  Meetings are "at call" at Town Hall Acquire, own, lease & dispose of properties to the end of promoting industry & develop trade by inducing manufacturing, industrial,  governmental, educational, & commercial enterprises to locate or remain in this Town Michael Clark
Library Board  ✓  Up to 3 Years Meetings are "at call" at Town Hall Direct all affairs of the Library Lisa Plath
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board  ✓  1 Year Second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM at the Community Center Promotes, understands, appreciates, participates & supports parks, recreational opportunities, cultural activities, programs & facilities Greg Clark
Pension and OPEB Commission   ✓  3 Years Second Thursday of February, May, August, & November at Town Hall Responsible for the general administration of the Town's Defined Benefit Pension Plan; acts as Plan Administrator Bill Burke
