The Town of Collierville Public Utilities Division is dedicated to providing essential services that keep our Town running smoothly. From ensuring safe drinking water to managing wastewater treatment, our team works around the clock to support the health and well-being of our community. With a focus on reliability, safety, and compliance with environmental standards, we take pride in delivering high-quality services that you can depend on every day.

Water Treatment

Our Water Treatment team makes sure the Town has safe, reliable water. The team includes a manager, plant operator, mechanic, utility maintenance specialist, and senior maintenance worker. Every day, we test the water for chlorine, fluoride, pH, carbon dioxide, and alkalinity to meet EPA and Tennessee state standards. You can view the latest Water Quality Report here.

Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection

The Water Distribution team takes care of over 250 miles of water mains, manages 3,400+ fire hydrants, and runs two booster pumps. They also handle meter readings for billing. The division is led by the Water Distribution/Collection Manager and includes 13 employees.

The Wastewater Collection team maintains and repairs over 230 miles of sewer mains and operates 26 sewer lift stations. They also perform studies to prevent leaks. This division is also under the Water Distribution/Collection Manager, with a team of 7 employees.

Wastewater Treatment Plants

Our Wastewater Treatment team processes and treats wastewater before it's released into the Wolf River. The Town operates two treatment plants with a combined capacity of 9.5 million gallons per day. The team includes a manager, electrician, plant operator, lab technician, two mechanics, and two senior maintenance workers.
