Board of Mayor and Aldermen
The Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen are responsible for governing the Town and making decisions that affect the community. The mayor is the executive head of the Town government, representing Collierville in official matters and presiding at all meetings of the Board. The Aldermen work alongside the mayor to ensure compliance with local ordinances and state laws, develop the Town’s budget, appoint Town department directors, and address the needs and concerns of residents. Together, they strive to maintain and improve the quality of life in Collierville.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen are non-partisan and elected to serve at-large, meaning they represent the entire Town rather than specific districts. Each position is filled through a democratic election, and those elected serve four-year terms.
Meet the Board
Stan R. Joyner is a Collierville native who has lived and served in the Collierville community all his life. He was elected to the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen in 1999 and was serving his third term when elected Mayor in 2008.
