The Town of Collierville LOTO Program establishes requirements for the lockout of energy-isolating devices. The intent is to ensure that the equipment is de-energized and isolated from all potentially hazardous energy sources  and locked out (and tagged) before employees perform service or maintenance tasks where the unexpected energizing, start-up or release of stored energy could cause injury.

The purpose of the Town of Collierville Loss Prevention and Safety Manual is to prevent and/or substantially decrease all types of occupational accidents and illnesses. It is the goal of the Town of Collierville and its employees to increase productivity by securing a work environment free of safety hazards.  The occupational safe work practices outlined in this document are applicable to all employees of the Town of Collierville.

The standard, on which all respiratory protection plans are based is OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.134 "Personal Protective Equipment - Respiratory Protection." The guidelines established in this program are designed to help reduce employee exposure to any respiratory hazard that may be encountered while performing various work assignments for the Town of Collierville.
