Join us for Storytimes at the Library!

Our Youth Services staff looks forward to reading, singing, and visiting with you at Storytime each week.

There may be occasional changes to the schedule. Visit our Events Calendar for up-to-date storytime listings.

Fall/Winter Storytime Schedule

Tiny Tots Storytime, 0 to 23 months
Mondays and Thursdays: 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Toddler Storytime, 24 to 35 months
Tuesdays: 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

Learn n' Play, 2 to 5 years
Tuesdays, 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Reading Readiness, 3 to 5 years
Wednesdays, 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

Full STEAM Ahead, 2 to 5 years
This program uses a ticket system to ensure we have enough space and supplies for all participants. Please pick up tickets at the Information Desk before the program begins.
Wednesdays, 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Storytime Guidelines

To make storytime a positive experience for your family as well as others, please consider the following:

  • Discuss appropriate library behavior with your child before coming to the program.
  • Strollers should be parked along the windows outside and to the right of the Storytelling Room.
  • Storytime attendance is limited to 20 children of the age group listed in the program description.
  • Admission is on a first come, first served basis, with the exception of Full STEAM Ahead, which uses a ticket system.
  • Please do not bring snacks, drinks, or toys to story time. 
  • Help create a storytime atmosphere of quiet listening by teaching by example.
  • Be considerate by taking your child out of storytime if they are unhappy or disruptive, and return when you feel your child is ready to listen. 
  • Diapers should be changed in the Lobby bathrooms.
  • Please remember to turn off your cell phone during story time. 
  • Remember the library is a quiet place when you leave the Storytelling Room. 

Tiny Tots Storytime is for infants and toddlers ages 0 to 23 months. This very active storytime includes stories, bounces, songs, nursery rhymes, fingerplays, and early literacy tips. This program runs from August to May, with an alternate schedule during the Summer months.

Toddler Storytime is for children ages 24 to 35 months. This energetic program includes stories, music, dancing, and more This program runs from August to May, with an alternate schedule during the Summer months.

Learn n’ Play (School Year Only) is for ages 2 to 5 years. Children will have a chance to learn and explore through play during this open play group program.

Reading Readiness Storytime is for ages 3 to 5 years. This fun and educational program for young children includes stories, songs, fingerplays, and other activities designed to facilitate pre-reading skills.

Full STEAM Ahead (School Year Only) is for ages 2 to 5 years. This hands-on, exploratory storytime will feature various topics in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. This program uses the ticket system to ensure we have enough space and supplies for all participants. Please stop by the Information Desk to pick up a ticket for each child of the targeted age group before the program begins. Siblings and family may attend as well, but crafts and other supplies are limited to the target age group.
