Water Distribution

• Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of over 230 miles of mains (6 to 20 inches in diameter).

  • Installation and upkeep of over 3,000 fire hydrants.

  • Operation of two booster pumps: one 500 GPM and one 2,000 GPM.

  • Meter reading services for utility billing.

• Staff:

  • Managed by the Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection Manager.

  • Includes nine employees who handle daily work schedules.

Wastewater Collection

• Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of over 220 miles of gravity sewer mains (6 to 48 inches in diameter).

  • Operation of 26 sewer lift stations.

  • Conducting infiltration and inflow studies on gravity sewer mains.

• Staff:

  • Managed by the Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection Manager.

  • Includes ten employees who handle daily work schedules.
